I'm Cody and I run a small Australian company that specialises in the promotion and distribution of Modular synthesizer modules from all corners of the world.
Since an early age I have always been very aware of sound and music. I started playing guitar by ear when I was 7 and around the age of 15 branched out into other instruments such as Hammond organ, Piano and percussion. I have always been someone who likes to make noise (even as a small child banging pots and pans incessantly).
My first experience with synthesizers dramatically altered the way I perceived sound and music and the first interaction that I had with a Modular Synthesizer was earth moving for me.
The idea of having an unstructured instrument that there was no "right" or "wrong" way to play was truly a Eureka moment.
I am very fascinated by the concepts of using noise, found sounds, chaos, patterns, algorithm's and other non standard approaches to the creation of arts and sound.
