DIY WIRES workshop logistics

SCHEDULE
Saturday 17th July
* 11 – 4 Workshop. We are going to build a wire!

* Lunch will be provided @ The WIRED Lab.

* 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start, Cootamundra Arts Centre, presentation explaining the WIRED Lab and Performances by Alan Lamb and co.

Sunday 18th July
* 11 – 3 pm Workshop.

* Lunch will be provided @ The WIRED Lab.

GETTING TO COOTAMUNDRA
Car:
 Cootamundra is located on the Olympic Highway, from Sydney and Melbourne you get to Cootamundra by primarily driving along the Hume highway.
* From Sydney it's 385 km, approximately 4 - 4 ½  hours.
* From Melbourne its 563km's, approximately 6-7 hours drive.
* From Canberra it is 185km's, approximately 2 ½ hours drive.
* From Wagga Wagga it is 96km, approximately 1 ½ hours drive.

Train:
A great way to travel! CountryLink has two services daily from Melbourne and Sydney to Cootamundra.
* From Sydney the XPT leaves at 07:45am and 20:40pm arriving in Cootamundra at 12:47pm and 01:39am respectively.
* From Southern Cross station Melbourne the XPT leaves at 8:30am and 19:55pm arriving in Cootamundra 14:37pm and 1:46am respectively.

Plane:
* The closest airport is Wagga Wagga 1 ½ hours drive away. Qantas and REX service this airport with flights from Sydney and Melbourne.
* Canberra is 2 ½ hours drive away. Qantas and Virgin Blue service this airport with flights from all capital cities.

GETTING TO THE WIRED LAB FARM
Depending on how most of you get to Cootamundra we may request that you car pool when travelling between Cootamundra and the WIRED Lab farm. If most of you get to Cootamundra by public transport we will arrange something else.
When you confirm your attendance to the workshop please indicate how you will be getting here and if you are OK to car pool. We will send exact directions closer to the workshop weekend.
